  1. Revew bookmarks from last week. [5 mins]
    1. Go to the class Diigo site.
    2. Select your project tags and then review the tags listed on the right.
  2. Create a list of topics from your bookmarls. [15 mins]
    1. Choose a scribe to create the list.
    2. Organize them into categories -- person, place, theme, etc.
    3. Pay particular attention to media events and artifacts in which social media interacts with the public sphere and seems to influence social action, on the part of people or governments.
    4. Have each person in your group sign the list.
  3. Create a diagram showing the relationships between the topics in the previous list. [30 mins]
    1. Think of your topics as agents that participate in a network of information flow.
    2. Choose a scribe (does not have to be the same person) to draw a diagram show how your group thinks the topics are related. This is a creative exercise with no "right" answer. It is meant to generate ideas and hypotheses.
  4. Present a "lightning talk" present your groups thoughts as expressed in the diagram you created. [20 mins]
    1. Each talk will be two minutes.
    2. Don't worry if you have nothing conclusive.
  5. Have someone in your group turn in your two documents to the professor at the end of class.
  6. Wrtie your weekly reflective post after class.
    1. Describe any insights you may have gained as a result of the group exercise.
    2. Give any feedback about the process itself.
